CAREBUL Biography

Beatrice Carebul was born in 1883 in Paris. She was considered one of the most brilliant female artists of her time. She began her studies at the Ecole des Beaux Arts and also studied at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs.

Carebul had a brilliant color palate and she began to gain notice by Fauve painters like Derain and even Matisse. It wasn't until after she exhibited at the Salon National des Beaux Arts that Carebul's career really took off. She exhibited her work at the Salon des Independents from 1920 to 1931. Carebul also exhibited her works at the Salon d'Automne from 1935 to 1940. Carebul traveled extensively throughout France to find new landscapes and inspiration.

She died in 1953, in Juan les Pins, France.
