Maria Serafina was born in Collesano (Palermo, Sicily). Serafina is a Fine Arts graduate and has had a successful career with many personal showings that have earned her high praises by art critics and patrons alike. What differentiates her artwork from other artists is that she draws her inspiration from the warmth and vitality of her native Sicilian culture, and it permeates throughout her glorious paintings. Capri especially has always had an intense influence on Serafina. She is forever striving to capture the flavor of the island’s romantic gardens, with their wistful play of light and dramatic shadows.

Serafina enjoys traveling and seeking out the most beautiful gardens in Italy. Her travels have taken her from Portofino to Florence, Venice, and the captivating Amalfi coastline.
