MAGRE

Magre was born in 1955. After taking courses of design and architecture, he discovers his true interest for art and with passion merges into this world.

Magre devoted time and effort to studying the human body and for several years painted nudes and portraits, although years later he is captivated by the impressionist tendency of the time. Landscapes from Tourraine and Normandy become the subjects of his paintings. Magre reveals unsurpassed ability and command of harmony and balance and uses color and light with a mysterious and powerful effect. His inner capacity to convey feelings allows him, with absolute truthfulness, to render to us his vision of nature. His paintings show the strong influence of masters like Sisley, Pissarro, Monet, Seurat, Cezanne, and Van Gogh.
