WEBSTER Biography


Percival Webster was born in 1926 and is of Scottish decent. He married in 1952 and had three sons and from 1939 to 1945 he served with the provost corps as a wartime artist in France and Germany.  After leaving the armed forces, Webster took up the post of a principal aircraft designer working on the Anglo-French Concord project, and later received an award for achievement to the industry.



Percival Webster is a specialist painter of landscape and figure canvases in oil.  Trained in the post war era at St. Martins College of Art in the Strand London, later he went on to become a teacher there.  Webster depicts all aspects of contemporary life, as well as work inspired by a rich diversity of past masters.  Having traveled in Europe extensively, Webster produces works that interest him as well as commissions. His works have been purchased by many private clients (Anthony Quinn being one) both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
