TELLO Biography

Peruvian by birth, Rosa Tello studied drawing and painting at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes del Peru from 1986 to 1992. She spent part of her life in the jungle, a land rich with exotic flora, lush leaves and endless textures that pervaded her memory and influences her work. Her paintings showcase the elegance and color of flowers, as well as the natural grace and beauty they possess. Color is a key element in Tello's work, as she manipulates it to create harmony or exalt contrasts. She floods canvases with soft, delicate shades or intense, forceful colors, to "stimulate people's minds and create a sensation of physical and mental well-being and harmony". The artist mainly employs color to express her vitality and joy for life. Tello describes her work as simultaneously expressionist, lyrical and poetic. By combining color, texture, and bold brushstrokes to create the subject, she infuses the theme with strength and vigor.

Cosmopolitan Fine Arts is proud to present the art of Tello.
